17th Annual Coastal Dance Festival

When: March 1st - 3rd, 2024
Where: Anvil Theatre

The 17th Annual Coastal Dance Festival brings Indigenous artists together to share and support one another in a celebration of lived artistic practices. Produced by the Dancers of Damelahamid in partnership with The Anvil Centre in New Westminster and the Museum of Anthropology at UBC, the festival is a celebration of the stories, songs and dances of the Indigenous peoples of the Northwest Coast with guest national and international artists.

Land of Thundering Snow

When: Until April 1st, 2024
Where: Britannia Mine Museum

This travelling exhibit aims to teach visitors about avalanches; releases of snow propelled by gravity that rush downhill in steep terrain, altering the landscape and ecosystem as they pass. It also emphasizes the impact they have had on human settlement, migration, travel, and transportation. From the mapping of railway and highways to the technological advances of avalanche mitigation, the story of avalanches encompasses the story of humans and landscape and ties them together for museum visitors in an engaging and interactive experience.

Cineplex Family Favourites

When: March 8th - 29th, 2024
Where: Various Cineplex Theaters

Weekend plans for the whole gang just got easier! Our Family Favourites program runs movies Saturdays, for only $3.99 plus applicable taxes (in-theatre price). Family Favourites programming is available on select Saturdays at participating locations. Films subject to change.  If purchased online, tickets are $3.99 for CineClub members (booking fee waived), $4.99 for Scene+ members ($3.99 + $1.00 online booking fee), or $5.49 for all other online purchases ($3.99 + $1.50 online booking fee). Online booking fee allows for advanced seat selection and sharable digital tickets, and applies to the first 4 tickets purchased in a transaction.  All prices are + tax.
