Saplings Outdoor Program Summer camp offers nature-based exploration in the wonderful forests throughout the North Shore and Metro Vancouver area for kids 3-5 & 5-11. ⁠

This is the perfect summer camp for your adventurous, creative, nature-loving child! Saplings believes that nature is a child's best education. And that fostering a child's sense of wonder for the great outdoors by facilitating inspirational, stimulating, and hands-on experiences promotes lifelong learning and interest in the outdoors. Kids may build fairy houses or forts, make nature art, hunt for birds and worms, find a secret spot to build a garden, or even create sculptures with clay sticks and materials found in the forest. Whatever the day brings it will be full of fun, excitement, creativity, and exploration. ⁠New this year @saplingsoutdoor is adding STEM to some of their camp offerings.⁠

Knight Camp with @academie_duello_youth_programs is a premier youth program for kids aged 8-14 in downtown Vancouver. Students will become versed in the Historical Martial Arts of Europe (HEMA) learning and practicing longsword, sword & shield, polearms, archery, and the Knightly Virtues, such as Integrity, Mercy, and Courage! At Knight Camp kids follow the same progression that squires followed, beginning the program as pages, eventually moving up through seven ranks as they complete knightly trials to attain knighthood. It is an amazing journey full of personal growth opportunities while giving them a love of history, swordplay, archery, and adventure. ⁠

Camping is SUPER popular in BC! If you're in the same boat as us, chances are you're having a tough time snagging a campground reservation at BC provincial parks through the Discover Camping website, even though BC residents are supposed to have priority. ⁠

But no worries, Metro Vancouver families have another option: booking at private campgrounds or ones run by local municipalities.
