Cherry Blossom Festival

When: Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 11 - 4 pm
Where: Garry Point Park, Richmond

TheĀ Richmond Cherry Blossom FestivalĀ brings the community together to enjoy the beauty of the cherry blossom alongside the cultural richness of Japan. TheĀ Hanami TentĀ will offer displays and demonstrations from local artisans including calligraphy, bonsai and origami, as well as a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony. In theĀ Sakura Tent, visitors can experience an Ikebana demonstration, and performances by Taiko drummers, folk singers and dancers. Children are invited toĀ learn how to fold origami creatures using special Japanese paper and techniques. There is also a range of Japanese menu items from local vendors.
