Looking for suggestions for TV shows for tweens that are worth watching together?
Tweens are at such a fun age for many things! As we move through the years from 10-13 with our own kids, we have found that watching a great TV series together has given us more time with our kids and has brought up important discussion topics. We have the chance to chat about the themes & challenges in the shows as well as gaining more insight into their lives and thoughts. Choosing a show that you can all enjoy can be difficult though. They want to move away from the "little kid" shows, but they are not quite ready to handle the themes or action of shows for older teens.
Below you’ll find suggestions for TV shows for tweens across the main streaming services in Canada. These shows are rated 14A and below, and will appeal to kids aged 10-13. We understand that families will have different tastes and rules around the amount of screen time and the content of the shows they they find appropriate for different ages. This list is just a resource so that you can find new options that might be good for your family. For younger kids in the 10-11 age range, we suggest that parents read the preview and even watch an episode ahead of time to make sure that it aligns with their family.
We’ve got you covered for what to binge watch on Disney +, Netflix, Crave, and Prime Video in Canada.
