SQUIRREL NUT HUNT BOARD GAME

This game is a simple printable game sheet that let's 2 players aged 7 - 101 play a sweet game based on the rules of the classic Battleship game. This is a  game, for two players in which the opponents try to guess the location of their opponent's hidden nuts.

Since this is a printable game where each player hides their game board from the other play, it is perfect to play over Skype or Facetime to keep kids connected during self-isolation and social distancing.

PRINT & PLAY SQUIRREL NUT HUNT GAME :

HOW TO PLAY:

First each player should download &  print the game sheet below. Then colour and cut out the rectangles found at the bottom of the sheet that correspond to the different nuts (walnut, cashew, almond, hazelnut, peanut). Then each player "hides" these rectangles on their side of the game sheet and keeps it hidden from the other player.

Each player will take turns searching for the other players hidden nuts by giving the other player the coordinates of the one square in the grid that they are searching (ex. B9 or E12). They will then be told whether they found part of a nut or if it was a miss. Then it's the other players turn. When all of the squares of a particular nut have been found tell the player that they have found that nut by declaring "You found my walnut!"

Keep alternating in this way until one player has found all of the other players hidden nuts.
