Take a thrilling journey through Capilano Suspension Bridge Park’s Canyon Frights... if you dare! This year, the iconic bridge, river and surrounding forest glow for Halloween as graveyards, pumpkins, glowing mushrooms and creepy crawlies transform the Park into a frightfully fun family adventure. Look for watchful owls at Treetops Adventure and a playful Bruno Mars-inspired twist along Cliffwalk, then creep into Critter’s Hollow to learn about bats or tackle the Frightful Forest Scavenger Hunt. Live music adds to the fun, while The Cliff House serves up Halloween-inspired sips, seasonal bites and spooky treats.
Monsters, Machines, & Mischief at Britannia Mine
When: October 17, 18, 24 & 25
Where: Britannia Mine Museum
This Halloween, Britannia Mine Museum transforms into a world of Monster Machines, where the historic machinery is causing a little Halloween mischief! Put on a hard hat and climb aboard the underground train for the special Big Machines, Monster Fun Underground Tour, filled with unusual machine malfunctions, live demonstrations and hands-on challenges. Families will discover how miners used machinery, transportation systems and teamwork to keep Britannia running, then head above ground for the spectacular BOOM! show. Expect plenty of discovery, monster mischief and a few surprises along the way.
Monster Dash Burnaby

Where: Swangard Stadium
Burnaby’s annual Monster Dash 5K is a festive Halloween race where costumes, community spirit, and fun take centre stage. Runners and walkers of all experience levels can take part in the 5K, while children aged 10 and under can join the Mini Monster Dash 400m at Swangard Stadium. Participants receive race swag, finisher medals, and post-race refreshments, making it a fun Halloween activity for the whole family.

Pumpkin Train

Where: Bear Creek Park, Surrey
Hop aboard the Daytime Pumpkin Train at Bear Creek Train in Surrey. Little riders can enjoy a whimsical train ride through a forest decked out in autumn charm — complete with a pumpkin, a treat, and craft fun along the way.
