METRO VANCOUVER ATTRACTIONS OPENING UP FOR SUMMER 2021

Metro Vancouver attractions are planning on opening this summer! We are excited to be planning a summer of increased travel and activity with our families. We have pulled together some of our favourite attractions and some new experiences that will be open for summer 2021. Many of these attractions are working at reduced capacity and all have special covid safety procedures in place.

After such a long time, we are so happy to be able to share these BC attractions with you. Check back in as we will be adding to this list throughout the summer.



Starting on June 18th, the spectacular Hawaii From Above film is premiering at FlyOver Canada. On this ultimate flying ride, you’ll get a taste of the tropical winds, stirring waves, rippling forest, and dancing waterfalls that have lured travelers to these idyllic islands for centuries. FlyOver Canada utilizes state-of-the-art technology to give you the feeling of flight. BRAND NEW ATTRACTION! Experience The Thrill of The Eagle Coaster! The Eagle Coaster ride will take off from the top of Eagle Express Quad Chair on Black Mountain and travel over 1.7 km with 279 meters of vertical drop. Riders can safely reach thrilling speeds of up to 40 km per hour winding down the track with forested vistas and exciting bends in the track. The Eagle Coaster is suitable and great fun for all ages and physical capabilities - young tots can even experience the thrill of riding in the lap of an adult!

A 10-minute gondola ride that takes you 885 metres above Howe Sound. Beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding mountains, a 100 metre suspension bridge, & a full-service restaurant. BC’s most iconic amusement park is ready for another season of family fun, thrills, games, attractions, and good mood food! Playland will be operating with significantly reduced capacities, physical distancing, enhanced cleaning procedures, and masks will be required on rides, games areas, and in all queue lines. Welcoming over 200,000 visitors annually, the Stanley Park Railway is popular with locals and tourists alike. The 20 gauge, 2 km track winds through the beautiful Stanley Park forest. Passengers can get a close-up look at a vintage engine and a quick photo before boarding for the 15-minute ride. The train is open weekends from 11am to 4pm, including statutory holiday Mondays. Masks and face coverings are required for all passengers three years and older. Ticket booth is accepting payment by debit or credit cards only.



Wings and Wizards is a touch-free  magical adventure. At the West Coast Railway Heritage Park in Squamish BC, you can see, hear, touch, and experience the actual trains, locomotives, and equipment that helped build BC and Canada. The super-popular mini-rail rides are a great way to see most of the park grounds. This 20-minute ride covers over 2km of track More new and fun experiences are coming for 2021 such as a Printing Press, Operating Blacksmith Shop, and Firehall vehicles. SkyDrive is a drive-in air show experience - like a drive-in movie only way bigger, way louder, and way more awesome! One of the "Top Ten Airshows in the World," Abbotsford invites you and your family to come to the Abbotsford Airport on the second weekend of August each year. Started as a community fundraiser, the Abbotsford Airshow has grown to become Canada’s National Airshow and one of the world’s premier aviation events. The family-friendly event has something for everyone to enjoy: spectacular aerobatics, intricate routines, jaw-dropping formations, and stunning parachute and pyrotechnic work.
