WHAT on earth IS SKYR?
In simple terms, skyr is a thick and creamy dairy product that's a lot like Greek yogurt, but it comes from Iceland and has some important differences.
Skyr is made by taking milk and adding special bacteria to it. These bacteria make the milk thicken and become creamy. After that, they strain away the watery part, leaving behind a very thick, yogurt-like product. Skyr is even thicker and has a milder taste than Greek yogurt. It's also higher in protein and lower in fat compared to many Greek yogurts. So, in short, skyr is like a cousin of Greek yogurt from Iceland. It's super thick, really creamy, and a great source of protein! We love that siggi’s skyr is made with simple ingredients and not a lot of sugar.
GHOSTS AND MUMMIES FROZEN TREATS
Spooky healthy treat for Halloween!

12 frozen treat sticks
-
mini chocolate chips

Dip the frozen bananas into the yogurt, making sure it’s well coated.
-
To create the ghosts, use mini chocolate chips or melted chocolate to create eyes and/or mouth.
-
To make the mummies, place the treats back into the freezer for about an hour. Then drizzle with more yogurt then decorate with eyes. Keep the treats in the freezer until ready to serve.
Enjoy!
